Seeing Something Weird
I had to turn off Chrissy's most excellent implementation of MT-Blacklist, as host provider would not be as willing as I am to allow certain things to happen in the master database.
Finally Broke Down And Did It
I've been hosting my blog from my house since its inception, but with the prospect of not being near my servers for maybe months (and the fact that one tends to go down every week or so) I decided to get myself a hosting provider and move my blog there.
One More Thing About Minute Maid Park
I forgot to mention that there's one other reason I love that place. You know who built it?
Halliburton.
Now That's Justice
When the SCOTUS handed down their decision the other day that basically gave local governments free reign to kick people out of their homes to build malls, hotels, and big box stores (which bring in more tax revenue than an individual homes) I was furious.
On The Road Again
This morning, I decided it would be a good idea to drive to Houston and catch a few Astros games, so here I sit in my downtown Houston hotel room.
I'm Outta Here
I quit my job. That's because I got a new job. However, new job is about twelve hours north of here. I will be leaving Texas and moving to Kansas City.
Home Again
All went well on my trip. I should have an announcement some time in the next week or so. But first, let's talk about sucky airplane rides.
Go Avis!
I am once again out of town, blogging from a hotel. And I am driving a rental car from Avis. I didn't notice it getting into the car (I wasn't really giving the car the once-over, I just wanted to get in and get to my hotel) but when I reached my hotel and got out, I noticed a yellow ribbon sticker on the car with the words "Support The Troops" under it.
I Think I'll Start Selling These
Because there are plenty of people that would buy them...
Another Tip From EWG
Get to you know your bartender. It can make the difference between "last call" and staying at the bar and drinking until 3:30 or thereabouts.
Kind Of A Geek Thing
If you have not yet heard of Leroy Jenkins, go here and check out the video. It's a capture of a Worlds of Warcraft game.
Jackson Verdict Reached
It hasn't been read yet, but apparently the jury is back. But before you hear the verdict, you should check out Triumph the Insult Dog having a conversation (requires Quicktime) with the supporters camped out in front of the courthouse.
Loser On Parade
I blogged about Michael Crook, the loser who had forsakethetroops.info up. Well, someone found his MSN Messenger ID and had a little chat with him.
Ride Alongs
Many police departments have programs where average citizens can ride along with a cop for a shift to see what they do.
Seen On A Bumper Sticker This Morning
Knowlege is power
Power corrupts
Study hard
Be evil
Kerry Not So Smart After All
All during the last election cycle, libs were continually trying to fool Americans into believing that George Bush was a dimwit in comparison to John Kerry.
Jerks
There is a local theater chain here that has become the only one I will go to. There are a few reasons for this:
1. They serve beer and food during the movie.
2. They do not allow any children under the age of six.
Even Alan Colmes Is Right Some Of The Time
Just saw this video clip from Hannity and Colmes.
40 Reasons For Gun Control
1. Banning guns works, which is why New York, DC, & Chicago cops need guns.
One More Thing About New York
I bought myself a suit while I was there. Now normally, when you want to try on a potential clothing purchase, you are ushered to a dressing room where you can try on your clothes in private.
I'm Not Dead Yet
Haven't posted in some time. Somehow, spending a week away from things in New York causes all sorts of backlogs, both at home and work.
