OK, that's fine. However, the fact that they are flying me up there on the fifth anniversary of 9/11 does have me a little bit spooked.

But wait, Saddam said that he had gotten rid of all of them, how could that be?

Still no mention of the report on CNN's front page, and a search for "WMD" turns up nothing since 6/2. I'm shocked, shocked I tell you!

UPDATE: Hmmm... No mention on ABC, CBS, MSNBC... But plenty of coverage on the Marines facing charges. Odd how liberals are soft on crime (see Willie Horton) until a serviceman is accused of something. Then, of course, as Jack Murtha would tell you, they're just plain guilty.

While each and everyone is a sad loss, for a three-year period during a war, that number is extrememly low.

Volunteers for an effort to patrol the Mexican border reported their first sighting of suspected illegal immigrants, resulting in 18 arrests, authorities said Sunday.

Participants in the Minuteman Project saw the migrants Saturday near Naco as the volunteers were surveying the border to familiarize themselves with the area. When agents arrived, they apprehended 18 people, Border Patrol spokesman Andy Adame said.

"You observe them, report them and get out of the way," said Mike McGarry, a spokesman for the project, which begins today and is to continue for a month.

The volunteers reported another illegal immigrant after he wandered onto the campus of a Bible college near the community of Palominas, where about 100 Minuteman participants were staying.

The man walked in and said he needed food and water. Volunteers helped him and notified federal agents, who picked him up, McGarry said.

Iran's armed forces vowed Thursday they would defend the country's nuclear ambitions, warning "Great Satan" the United States that it faced certain defeat if it decided to attack.
"Brave Iranians, disregarding the yells of the White House and arrogant media, will not hesitate for a moment in pursuing their objectives in various fields including nuclear energy," said a statement from the hardline Revolutionary Guards.

"With alertness and iron-like will, (Iran) will inflict serious and repeated defeats on the Great Satan's camp," said the statement carried by the student news agency ISNA.

I can see it now. It would be the "Mother Of All Battles".

I seriously doubt we'll be invading Iran anytime soon, anyway.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Homeland Security Department will assign more than 500 additional patrol agents to the porous Arizona border, saying they will help keep potential terrorists and illegal immigrants from entering the country, The Associated Press has learned.

The border buildup was to be announced Wednesday - two days before civilian volunteers with the so-called Minuteman Project begin a monthlong Arizona patrol against immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico line.

That's definitely a good start.

While I was enjoying the free beer and appetizers, I noticed a table full of men and women in Army fatigues.

I wandered back to the area where the waitresses were congregating, and inquired as to which one of them was assisting the military table. After learning which one was waiting on them, I told her that I would like to pay for their tab.

The waitress looked at me with a "why in the hell would you want to do that?" attitude. I could see it in her face. Granted, she couldn't have been a day over nineteen, but I didn't have the time to explain to her the implications of the global Islamic terrorist threat (to which I have no doubt she was oblivious), and how it is highly probable that she herself could, at any moment, be overwhelmed by any number of chemical or biological agents that would render her motor facilities completely incapable of displaying that particular expression of dismay at my offering to pay for the meals of a few members of our military.

Of course, those benefiting from my impromptu generosity were quick to thank me.

I quickly reminded them that they were the ones to be thanked, not myself.

The price of a meal for five soldiers in a restaurant is nothing in comparison to the freedom that they provide us each day.

God bless our troops!

<trackback:ping>http://evilwhiteguy.com/blog/services/trackbacks/1600.aspx</trackback:ping>
